Stephannie Adinde
I am a development economist, writer, and researcher with a deep interest in Sub-Saharan Africa's economic and social transformation. My work is driven by a passion for leveraging credible data to design feasible, impactful policy solutions that address the continent's most pressing challenges.
I currently serve as the Country Economist (Nigeria) at The Centre for Tax Analysis in Developing Countries (TaxDev), where I collaborate with the Government of Nigeria to promote applied policy analysis and evidence-based tax policymaking.
Previously, I was a Senior Economist and Overseas Development Institute (ODI) Fellow at the Ministry of Finance in Sierra Leone, working in the Research and Delivery Division. During my tenure, I contributed to several high-impact projects focused on public financial management, economic research, human capital development and digital financial services.
My earlier experience includes roles as a Senior Associate at Stears Data and a Strategy Consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), where I advised public and private sector clients, as well as development organizations, on a wide range of strategic and economic issues.
In addition, I have worked as an independent consultant, supporting development partners and private sector firms on diverse development projects across Sub-Saharan Africa. I also provide insights and commentary at conferences and development events.
